Netflix Shares Dipped by 25%
The share prices for Netflix have experienced a 25% dip in the premarket trading. The dip was recorded after Netflix made an announcement in regards to losing an enormous number of subscribers in the first quarter of 2022.
According to Netflix, they have lost a total of 200,000 subscribers in just the first three months of 2022. This is the first time in 10-years that Netflix has reported such a tremendous loss of its subscribers.
Furthermore, Netflix also reported that it missed out on hitting its earnings estimations for the same quarter. The actual revenue they generated was less than the estimations that were made by the analysts.
IBM Shares Surged by 3%
The share prices for IBM have experienced a 3% elevation in the premarket trading. The share price surge was observed after IBM shared its earnings for the first quarter of 2022. IBM executives confirmed that they were able to meet all top and bottom estimations that were set by the analysts.
The technology services company announced that they generated earnings worth $1.40 per share for the first quarter of 2022. On top of that, the revenue they generated for the same quarter was worth $14.2 billion.
Compared to the actual revenue generations, the earnings estimation that the analysts had made was $1.38 per share. The revenue estimation that the investors set for the first quarter of 2022 was worth $13.85 billion.
Paramount Experienced a 5.2% Share Price Dip
The share prices for Paramount experienced a 5.2% dip in the premarket trading. The loss was recorded after Netflix made an announcement surrounding its earnings for Q1 2022, in which it revealed losing 200k subscribers.
