Biden has Invited Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin to Climate Summit

As per the latest reports, Joe Biden has stated that the President of China and Russia are welcome to take part in the climate summit. The statement was made by the 46th President of the United States “Joe Biden” on Friday, March 26, 2021.

It has been confirmed that the climate summit for the global leaders is set to be held in April of 2021. It will be the administration of Joe Biden that will be responsible for hosting the climate summit.

In a statement made by Joe Biden, he has clarified that he hasn’t directly named Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin. But if they wish to be a part of the climate summit, then they are welcome to join it. He stated that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin also know that they are invited to the summit.

A climate summit is an event that is hosted by the United States with aims to advance the efforts to control the situations that are causing climate change on a global scale.

The mission of the summit is to bring all the world leaders on the same board in order to help reduce the emissions of fossil fuels from factories, industries, and manufacturing plants.

Following the statement made by Joe Biden, a list of 40 world leaders invited to the climate summit was published by the White House. The names of both presidents from China (Xin Jinping) and Russia (Vladimir Putin) have been confirmed in the list.

Joe Biden also revealed that he had already spoken with the Prime Minister of Britain, Boris Johnson on Friday, March 26, 2021. He confirmed that he has also done the same with the leaders of the European Union on the same day.

According to a press release made by the White House, the United States prioritized reaching out to their allies for the climate summit before reaching out to countries with neutral relations.

It has been reported that at the summit, the US administration will be unveiling new targets for carbon emissions. In order to comply with the COVID-19 SOPs, the climate summit will be held remotely by the invited world leaders. The dates for the climate summit have already been confirmed to be held on April 22 and April 23, 2021.

The recent move made by Biden’s administration is something that he had already promised during the presidential election campaign. He also confirmed this by issuing an executive order for the meeting to be held for the climate summit.

The climate summit being held by the US administration is ahead of the U.N. global climate summit, which is set to take place in November of 2021. The global climate summit held by the United Nations would be held in Glasgow, Scotland.
